So, some of these shows have already aired, but I figured the two of you around might like this anyway.

High School of the Dead is a trap, do not fall into it.

yeah, I was thinking about watching that, and then I saw the trailer...

There isn't a lot to choose from, but I'll probably watch Shiki and Sengoku Basara 2, and I might give a chance to Occult Academy and Nurarihyon no Mago.

To be fair the parts that aren't fan service are good, it's just that when it does fan service it borders on porn. I managed to make it through the first 3 chapters before I decided that I no longer cared about what happened to the characters or why everyone else had turned into zombies.

So far the only things on my list are Sengoku Basara 2 and Legend of the Legendary Heroes.

Yay, Nurarihyon no Mago~ Now that it has an anime adaption, maybe Viz'll finally publish the manga.

"Legend of the Legendary Heroes" kinda makes me laugh, though. Is the redundancy a translation problem, or is that it's actual name?

That's the actual name. Based on the previews I saw the show seems to be a spoof on the fantasy genre, hence the redundancy.

Ōkami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi looks like Toradora, has anyone watched it?

High School of the Dead might lure me in do to the promise of seeing obnoxious high school anime characters being ripped apart by zombies.

Watched Legend of the Legendary Heroes... unfortunately the only person to do it used microscopic font so I'm hoping someone else picks it up. Still though, makings of a good show. I especially liked how they slipped in the sound that plays on the Starcraft start screen when the amulet Ferris found activated.

Also, Thomas, after three chapters they were already past staying around the Highschool, so if all you want to see is violence against students then just watch the first few episodes and then look up the number to a therapist.

I've seen it Bri. You have a good eye. The main character looks like Taiga if she was at least a foot taller and knew boxing. Her little friend there looks and talks like Touma's teacher from To Aru Majutsu no Index. The narrator of the series is obviously Kuroko from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. It's pretty damn obvious who's the studio behind this anime and I love it already. As far as I'm concerned, I got plenty to watch this season. And for those of you hating on High School of the Dead, I'll probably watch it just because I'm a Left 4 Dead addict. Amagami SS actually looks pretty promising just from the first episode. I just really hope at this point that it doesn't become this year's School Days *cringe*. Oh yeah, and Black Lagoon's 3rd season is finally here. Fuck, YES!!!

I've decided to only watch a couple things this season, since I'm still backlogged by stuff from last season... I WILL get through B Gata and Hime Chen if it kills me... But what I've seen this so far has shown some promise.

Ookami and her Seven Fairy Tale References Compatriots looks like it will be very entertaining-- really, I have yet to see something by J.C. Staff that disappointed me.

And Mitsudomoe... I guess I lied. This show doesn't look very promising. Maybe it's because I looked into the manga first, which was pretty entertaining. The first episode of the anime was pretty much an exact transliteration of what I had been able to find of the manga... and it just worked better in print. But who knows? Maybe it will get better as the season goes on.

As for stuff I'm looking forward to... there isn't much. I'd like to see the Monster Hunter series, but I don't know if any subbers will pick that up.

Seitokai Yakuindomo...Basically it's like this season's Lucky Star, only the girls are way more perverted. I feel sorry for the poor sap who is forced to become the new student council vice-president. At one point in the first episode the president randomly blurts out to him how she has to deal with her period once a month. I really don't think she ever bothers to stop and think for a second about what she says and what it'll make other people think.

She also looks like one could draw her with an etch-a-sketch.
